GIZ and KfW Cameroon dedicate the afternoon of International Women’s Day 2018 to women’s careers. All female colleagues of GIZ and KfW Cameroun in Yaoundé are invited to participate in the Gender Café, to discuss which factors can lead to success in career planning and how to achieve a work-life balance. In a relaxed atmosphere, with coffee and refreshments, the participants will have the possibility to receive and share information and discuss their experiences. Resource persons from GIZ Cameroon will be present to facilitate the discussions on structural and personal obstacles and how to overcome them.
Topics that will be discussed during the afternoon include:
Self-PR – teamwork, leadership and self-confidence: How to promote my qualifications and achievements at the work place, the role of self-confidence and the limitations by ascribed gender roles
Work-Life Balance: Strategies to reach a work-life balance and reduce stress
No to sexual harassment: How to deal with situations of sexual harassment and the underlying sexist stereotypes that cause it
