Dear colleagues,
on December 2023 the BMZ launched its 3rd Development Action Plan on Gender Equality (BMZ GAP III). It translates the German Feminist Development Strategy into concrete measures for the years 2023 to 2027 and provides concrete guidance on how to implement it.
By doing so the BMZ also highlights the following thematic priorities: Peace and social cohesion; gender-based violence; health – sexual and reproductive health and rights; economic and social empowerment, participation, and access to decent work; just transition – transition to a socially and climate-friendly economy and food security, agriculture and rural development.
In the context of this year’s GIZ Gender Focus March, Martha Gutierrez, Gender Ambassador of GIZ, in communication with Inken Denker and Melanie Grad from the BMZ Feminist Development Policy Division will take you through the BMZ GAP III and elaborate with you the way ahead, expectations and priorities.
