Gender Inside GIZ
Dear colleagues,
You are invited!
The Gender/Digitalisation Nexus in development cooperation and project management
– Introducing the serious game “Gender – Next Level” –
developed by the German Government and Federal States Programme
28.03.2023
11:00 – 12:00 and 14:00 – 15:00 (CET)
The German Government and Federal States Programme (German: Bund-Länder-Programm, BLP) provides a platform for the national government and federal states to join forces in international development cooperation. It has implemented more than 70 projects since 2015. Gender and digitalisation have been relevant thematic areas for the BLP, not only as cross-cutting issues. In a number of projects gender equality has been a core topic. Both themes become even more important with the recently launched feminist development cooperation strategy from the BMZ.
To bring the relevance of these topics closer to relevant actors in the federal states, which we are cooperating with, we developed a serious game dealing with gender and diversity in project management and implementation: “Gender – Next Level”. This game will be made available to our project partners and to everyone in GIZ and the interested public to learn more about gender and development cooperation.
On March 28th, we want to introduce the game to you and look at the nexus of digitalisation and gender. How does the gender digital divide affect our project implementation? Which experiences and project examples can we draw on to contribute to overcoming this divide?
There will be a morning (11:00 – 12:00 CET) and an afternoon session (14:00 – 15:00 CET) to cover the different time zones. The presentations will be the same. Both sessions will be held in English.
We are looking forward to your participation!
