GIZ Rwanda celebrated the International Women’s Day with a virtual event focusing on the achievements and challenges of women in Rwanda.
GIZ Rwanda and the Goethe Institut Kigali joined forces to present a colorful bilingual programme. The event was opened by Martin Kraft, Country Director of GIZ Rwanda and Katharina Hey, Director of Goethe Institut Kigali.
Programme:
- Input on the role of women by Assumpta Mugiraneza, a Rwandan-French social-psychologist and political scientist.
- Input on the Moving Rwanda Project and interview with Jeanne Murekatete (Volkswagen ‘Move’ taxi driver)
- Cultural moment with musicians from Centre IRIBA
