On march 8th 2017, the Corporate Sustainability Handprint Comittee for Family and Work balance proposed to wear purple ribbons.
Instead of just saying “Happy International Women´s Day”, we invited all GIZ Costa Rica personnel to wear purple ribbons to conmmemorate and support all efforts done in order to recognize women’s rights and participation in the political, social and economic arenas, on equal terms. We also celebrated and recognized their achievements through history.
Our colleagues also created a beautiful infographic explaining the real meaning behind this day and GIZ Staff shared selfies, wearing their ribbons.
