Women in developing countries play a significant role in agricultural value chains. They contribute to household income and represent a growing part in agricultural wage labour. Additionally, with their work they provide local, regional, and international markets with diverse agricultural products and therefore contribute to food and nutrition security. However, women still face disadvantages and challenges with regard to their working conditions and are confronted with limited access to productive resources. GIZ is working on these challenges and has been thinking and working over the past years on how to better integrate gender-aspects into agricultural value chains projects. This event picks up the discussion and provides a platform to assess what works and what we want to commit for the future.

We are looking forward to share experiences and assess our work and discuss impacts and commitments for the future for gender-responsive value chains! Please participate via Skype for Business here: An Skype-Besprechung teilnehmen
