Event Documentation:
The Mono RBT Delta project works on the creation of the Transboundary Biosphere Reserve in the Mono River Delta in Benin and Togo. This process actively involves the populations of the project areas. In a vision of sustainable and efficient management of resources, local management associations have been created and recognized as such by the state authorities of each country. These associations are largely composed of men.
The purpose of the event was to encourage women from the Afito pool area, as well as other women’s groups from other sites, to engage and work alongside men in the local natural resource management associations at their sites.
