Unleashing Economic Potential in Albania toward High-Income Status and EU-Accession: Untapped Green Potential

This symposium is the second of a series of three events designed to discuss key challenges and opportunities relevant for EU Accession and transition to High-Income Status.

The ” Untapped Green Potential ” Symposium aims to emphasize and discuss the ways in which the green economy can be a transformative force for inclusive growth while addressing climate change policies.

The symposium will be focusing on youth, gender, diaspora & migrants in Albania, aiming to explore the potential of a sustainable and green economy for businesses, workers, and investors, providing a platform for discussing and addressing both social equity and environmental concerns.

Structured around three panels, each designed to address these critical areas in their various dynamics:

First Panel – Diaspora and Retunes’ Contribution to Green Development

The panel will explore the potential of diaspora networks, migrant entrepreneurs, and migrant workers in promoting green innovation, investment, and sustainable practices both in their host countries and their home countries.

Second Panel – Gender and Inclusion in the Green Transition:

The discussions will explore the barriers and opportunities for gender equality and inclusion, providing strategies to create a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable green economy.

Third Panel – Youth Empowerment in the Green Economy

The discussions would aim to discuss and identify innovative ways to engage youth in the green economy and create pathways for youth-led initiatives that can contribute to climate goals.
