In honor of the upcoming International Women’s Day 2025, which is celebrated annually on March 8, and to commemorate the GIZ Gender Week 2025, the GIZ East Asia office, specifically focusing on Mongolia and China, is organizing a photo competition. This initiative is themed “People in East Asia #AccelerateAction for Gender Equality.”
Purpose of the Competition
The primary aim of this photo competition is to raise awareness about gender equality work in East Asia and to encourage individuals and communities to showcase their contributions towards gender equality. The theme emphasizes collective efforts and highlights the importance of participation from all sectors of society in promoting gender equity.
Participation Guidelines
Participants are invited to submit photographs that reflect their interpretation of the theme. The competition seeks to showcase diverse perspectives on gender equality, including but not limited to social, economic, cultural, and political dimensions. Submissions may come from individuals or groups who are passionate about advocating for gender rights and showcasing their commitment through visual storytelling.
All submissions will contribute to create a vibrant photo collage. The winners’ photos and stories will be highlighted across our social media platforms and internal channels GIZ Gender and IDA!
