Rethinking the digital economy for gender justice and decent work

GIZ’s project ‘Future of Work’ and ILO invite you to the webinar series, taking a closer look at the realities and future of women’s work in the digital economy.

After a very successful first session, the second webinar will take place next Wednesday, 8th February 23.

In this webinar, Dr. Uma Rani (ILO) and Dr. Ruth Castel- Branco (SCIS, Wits University) will discuss their latest Special Issue: Women, Work and the Digital Economy of the Gender & Development Journal and draw on an intersectional lens, exploring:

  • Conditions of work and worker resistance in the digital economy
  • Role of the state and global governance institutions.

Together with experts from India, Pakistan, South Africa & Global North we will discuss learnings that can promote a future with equitable access to jobs and #decentworkforall.
