GIZ Liberia supports local partners in the Southeast of the country, one of the remotest and hardest-to-reach places in the country, with their awareness campaigns. The Tubman University in Harper is supported to organize a workshop for faculty staff and students to promote gender equality at all levels, encouraging female participation and closing gaps in inequality. The local office of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection in Maryland County is supported by GIZ with their celebrations during International Women’s Day.
Internally, GIZ is conducting small awareness events for all projects. Staff will familiarize themselves with this year’s IWD theme and gender equality. The events will include presentations, games, and quizzes.
