Award Winners of the Gender Competition 2022
110 teams participated in this year’s Gender competition aiming for one of the GIZ Gender Awards in the three categories: GG2 = Gender equality is the main objective of the project/programme; GG1= Gender equality is an important and deliberate objective, but not the principal reason for undertaking the project/programme; GM = Gender Mainstreaming. The applications received are an impressive testimony to our commitment and contribution to gender equality within GIZ and in the context of our services and commission management. In view of the high importance the new German Coalition Government, the German, European and International Cooperation attaches to Gender Equality, we are delighted that Dr Bärbel Kofler, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, will be attending the award ceremony. She will hold a key note and present the awards together with Ingried-Gabriela Hoven, a member of the GIZ Management Board.
