Semana de Gênero, GIZ no Brasil / Gender-week GIZ Brazil

Entre 11 e 15 de março, o Grupo de Trabalho (GT) Gênero da GIZ proporcionou um período de muito aprendizado para todos/as nós.

Foi uma semana linda na qual se homenageou e se relembrou, de diferentes formas, a luta por igualdade de direitos entre homens e mulheres. As várias atividades, de filmes com pipoca até textos diários sobre mulheres brasileiras inspiradoras da história (ver anexo), trouxeram reflexões fundamentais sobre a importância da equidade de gênero para nossas vidas.

Mais que mulheres importantes da história, foi uma semana para fortalecermos vínculos com mulheres que trabalham ao nosso lado, inspirando nosso dia a dia. Houve a troca de cerca de 40 cartas entre colegas, com palavras de apoio mútuo.

Para fechar a semana com chave de ouro, tivemos a oportunidade de participar de um rico bate papo de análise conjuntural sobre o cenário político para as mulheres no Brasil, com convidadas ilustres da academia, do Poder Executivo e da sociedade civil.

O Grupo de Trabalho Gênero agradece a participação de todos/as e espera que as trocas dessa semana continuem a gerar frutos em nosso trabalho.

Between March 11^th and 15^th, the GIZ Brazil Gender Working Group organized a week of learning and exchange on gender issues.

In the course of the week the fight for equal rights for men and women was honored and recalled in different ways. The various activities – from movies during lunch break to daily texts on inspiring women in Brazil’s history (see annex) – inspired fundamental reflections on the importance of gender equality.

Given the fact that not only important women in history can inspire us, everybody was asked to send short, supportive notes to inspiring female colleagues. About 40 letters were exchanged between colleagues, with words of mutual support.

In order to close the week with the golden key, around 35 GIZ colleagues participated in a round table discussion analyzing the current political scenario for women in Brazil. After listening to three insightful reflections on political developments, allies and opportunities from three distinguished guests from academia, federal prosecutor and civil society, there was room for discussion and exchange.

The Gender Working Group appreciates the participation of all and hopes that this week’s exchanges will continue to bear fruit in our work!
