The International Women’s Day is celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women while calling for gender equality.
GIZ Laos wants to use this occasion to bring into focus an issue that some might want to cover: sexual harassment in the work place.
We invite you to participate in our workshop “Sexual Harassment in the workplace – and how to defend yourself”
which will take place on Tuesday, March 6th from 15.00 – 17.00h at the terrace of Lao-German House.
We invited Madame Inthana Bouphavanh from the Lao Association for Development of Women and Legal Education (ADWLE) to present her study on sexual harassment in the workplace in Laos and her legal aid clinic for women, followed by a short discussion.
After that, Anthony Stadler will teach us how to take action! As an experienced martial arts teacher, he will give us a self-defense workshop.
Organizational remarks: The presentation and discussion will be mainly in Lao but English translation can be provided. Please let me know by Friday, 2nd March, if you want to join, so we can arrange a snack for everyone :)
