Gender Awareness Sessions

Poster of Gender Activity

The Gender Working Group (GWG) would like to invite you to join our “Gender Awareness Session” as part of the GIZ Gender Week in March.

For this year, we prepared a modular approach and included external speakers to make this session as interesting and relevant as possible for all participants with their different backgrounds:

  • In the morning session from 09:00 to 12:00 we will have a brief orientation on gender by Dr. Nathalie Africa-Verceles from the University of the Philippines and a specific input regarding “Gender in the Workplace” by Mrs. Mariciel Aguiilar from UN Women Philippines. This session is targeted to everyone, who wants to learn more regarding the topic of gender, especially from the perceptive of academia and other organizations
  • At 12 o clock noon we will provide a joint lunch and show various movie-clips on the topic
  • During the afternoon session from 13:00 till 14:30, we focus on the GIZ processes regarding gender, especially considering the recent “Safeguards+Gender” process. We will replicate the “Safeguards+Gender Training” that was organized last December and offer it in a condensed version to all staff that could not join last time. Here we specifically focus on, what is necessary to know to successfully comply with the requirements of the current GIZ processes and policies and will also answer your questions!

You are fee to join all sessions, but if time is limited, we recommend choosing either the morning slot or the afternoon slot based on your own preferences (you can join the lunch session for both options)!

Please confirm your (binding) participation before 28 February 2018 via outlook as the number of participants will be necessary to order lunch.
