Documetary on the migration route between Centralamerica and the US through the eyes of women

On the occasion of GIZ Gender Week , the GIZ Office El Salvador will present the documentary film “Maria in No Man’s Land” (2011). The film narrates the journey of three Salvadorian women through Mexico: two of them on their way to find the American Dream and another looking for her daughter that disappeared on a similar journey. The migration route between Centralamerica and the U.S. is one of the most violent worldwide. Thousands however commence the journey every day dreaming of more prosperous and peaceful live.

After the presentation, will be held a discussion with the director and producer Marcela Zamora, to address questions and explore solutions that increase equal opportunities between men and women.
