GIZ India – ‘Gender in Agrivoltaics’ – Knowledge Exchange Meet
Agrivoltaics, the practice of having solar panels and food crops on the same land is a topic that is steadily gaining traction globally!
To get ourselves ahead of the curve, we have a GIZ India internal working group on Agrivoltaics bringing together colleagues from across our clusters to look at this complex topic with multi-sectoral and multi-dimensional perspectives.
As per one of its activities, an explorative first state-of the-art study was developed to understand the scope of strengthening gender equality in the agrivoltaics landscape was carried out jointly by the develoPPP project of Indo-German Energy Forum (IGEF) on Agrivoltaics and the ERADA Project (Environment cluster).
The initial findings, key observations and recommendations for gender-inclusive agrivoltaics projects in India (based on the study report) will be shared by colleagues from both the projects.
