What: A la journée mondiale de la femme, il y aura une réception à l’occasion d’ouverture d’une exposition des œuvres de l’artiste Freddy Tsimba ainsi qu’une scène de théâtre expliquant le concept genre au bureau de la GIZ à Kinshasa. Les œuvres de Freddy Tsimba montrent des femmes fortes avec des rôles importants dans la société congolaise, c’est pourquoi nous avons choisi la devise « Agissons pour l’égalité des sexes en montrant la force des femmes du Congo! ». Les sculptures et la scène de théâtre nous facilitent de réfléchir sur le concept genre en général et sur les femmes au Congo en particulier, la stratégie genre de la GIZ et l’Objectif 5 dans l’Agenda 2030 « Parvenir à l’égalité des sexes et autonomiser toutes les femmes et les filles ».
At international womens’s day, there will be a reception on the occasion of the opening of an exhibition of the artist Freddy Tsimba’s sculptures in the GIZ country office in Kinshasa. Additionally, a short theater play will be performed to explain the concept of gender. Freddy Tsimba’ works show strong women with important roles in Congolese society. This is why we have chosen the motto “Let us take action for sexual equality highlighting the force of women in the Congo!”. The sculptures and the theater play facilitate us to reflect on the concept of gender in general and of women in the Congo in particular, the GIZ gender strategy and Goal 5 in Agenda 2030 “Achieving gender equality and empower all women and girls “.
