GIZ techDetector goes Gender
The potential of innovative technologies is key for the transformation of social, economic and organizational structures worldwide. In order to simplify the understanding and assessment of emerging technologies in regard to sustainable development, we created the GIZ techDetector. Emerging technologies from all sectors GIZ is active in were assessed according to their technological maturation and sustainability evaluation and are displayed in an educational tool.
In this Workshop, we want to understand the implications of these disruptive technologies concerning gender equality. Together we will outline the impact on gender equality that may infer from the technologies listed in the Tech Detector. According to this Gender Week’s Topic, the technologies assessed shall all have a potential to combat pandemics such as Covid-19. Let us discuss the possible effects of these technologies with our gender lenses on!
The Workshop will lead the participants to construct innovative scenarios in a fast-paced, high-energy setting and dialogue on the content of the techDetector and the future of Gender Equality.
